Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

God Sees, Knows, and Cares

Matthew 10:29-31 ―Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. “

~ God's providence: God sees, knows, cares and oversees all the events and happenings on earth
~ God's knowledge (omniscience): God knows every little happening and all that is, even to the most minute detail. He knows when a single sparrow falls to the ground. He knows every hair of a person's head, even the number of every hair.
~ it says we are more valuable than the sparrows – just as God has His eye on the sparrow, He has His watchful eye on us too.

It is crucial in learning to trust God that we acknowledge that He is in every aspect of our lives, the good and the bad, in adversity and in prosperity. He is in control and there is nothing that happens in our lives that doesn't go through Him first.

For instance you remember in our study of Ruth and Esther we saw how God worked out the events in these women's lives to orchestrate His purpose and His will. Ruth, a widowed Moabites became the great grandmother of King David and one of the four women listed in Matthew's record of the genealogy of our Lord Jesus Christ. Esther, also known as Hadassah, a young Jewish girl who was placed in a prominent position as the Queen of Persia to prevent the annihilation of her entire nation. In each of these women's lives we saw the hand of God directing their paths.
