Our walk speaks so much louder than our talk, that is why we need to be a living example of God’s love.
My friends, let us open our Bibles and look at 1 Peter 3:1-2 "Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear." Again Peter talks about our conduct and that through our conduct, if we are living a godly life - walking the talk - then we could be a witness for Jesus Christ. Now this is talking about husbands and wives; however, no matter what our marital status is, we can all be a witness for Christ by our conduct, when we are walking the talk, people will notice.
Ladies, if you are walking the talk and your husband is stumbling and not following God's word, notice that Peter is saying that your husband can be won by your godly conduct; how glorious that could be; as we live our lives for the Lord, it can strengthen the faith of our husband. This is why it is so important to have a deep personal relationship with God. When our lives are right with the Lord it reflects on those around us.
It is so important to be in God's word and not just reading for head knowledge but to put what we learn to practice so that what we do honors God. In everything we do, we should bring honor and glory to God. The Word of God is alive and powerful; it does change lives. Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
Be a living example of God's love.
