Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Joyful Acceptance of Injustice

Another way of how our lives are to be about Christ and not us as it equates to our daily lives is having a joyful acceptance of injustice.

Matthew 5:11-12 "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you". (NKJV)
Christ was straightforward here about the reward connected with bearing insults and persecution for His sake. Our attitude toward persecution should not be one of retaliation but we are to rejoice as it says in verse twelve for great is your reward in heaven. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12:10 "therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
My friend, when we are truly living godly lives we will suffer persecution because Satan doesn't want you to grow in your Christian walk and he will do everything he can to discourage you from doing so. Living each day as unto the Lord, seeking His will and not leaning on your own resources but in Christ's strength!
