Matthew 25:35-36 says "For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me" Now look at Matthew 25:40 "And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.' (NKJV)
It's the little things of life, that doesn't necessarily take a lot of money, but mean a lot. Think about those you have helped in your life whether it was a friend, a stranger, or even a loved one; those you have encouraged, those whom you visited that were sick, those you helped financially or met their physical needs. Christ says, when you do this, you did it to Christ. Christ sees your heart, he knows when you reach out your hand to help another and He doesn't hesitate to say you will be repaid as we see in Luke 14:12-14 "Then He also said to him who invited Him, "When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid. But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind. And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just." (NKJV)
My friend, It is about Christ and what you do with the opportunities He has given you. Live each day as unto the Lord, ask Him to reveal His will for you each day. Join me again next time as we look further into how this equates to our daily lives. Blessings to you my dear friends.
