Is there something God is asking you to do? Isaiah 6:8 And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”
We read of Ananias in Acts 9:10-17. You don’t hear very many sermons about Ananias and he doesn’t receive a lot of credit or accolades but God used him to fulfill His plan and purpose in Saul of Tarsus’ life. God instructs Ananias to go to Saul of Tarsus and place his hands on Saul’s eyes to heal him. Ananias was naturally fearful as he knew Saul’s reputation of killing Christians. In verse fifteen we see the Lord’s response: “But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name's sake." Notice that the Lord said “He is a chosen vessel of Mine”. We see here the sovereignty of God working in the life of Saul. God had a plan for Saul who later becomes Paul and He used Ananias to fulfill His plan. Ananias walked close to the Lord and knew His savior's voice. Scripture says The Lord called out to Ananias, and Ananias said “Here I am Lord”. Has the Lord been asking you to do something? Will you say "Here I am Lord" as Ananias did?
