Another year has come to an end and we are faced with a brand new year. Many will start to make plans and resolutions for what they will do in the new year.
James 4:13-14 'Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit"; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.'
My friend our plans are always tentative because we never know what God has in store for us. The Key is to keep God in our plans. We should say 'If it be the Lord's will we will do such and such.' James goes on to say that life is just a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. This is a perspective that all believers should have. This life, as we know it here on Earth, is just a temporary home. We never know when the Lord shall return; therefore, we should always live each day as unto the Lord.
The only resolution we need to make is that we grow more and more in our Christian lives and that we are open to the opportunities that God presents to us. Don't leave God out of your plans, live for Him.
