We talked about our New Year’s resolution that we grow more and more in our Christian lives and that we are open to the opportunities that God presents to us.
My friend, we need to have a thirst for God! Salvation is not a means to an end, it is only the beginning to a glorious pursuit of knowing and loving God. Sadly, some have said “I have accepted Jesus Christ into my life and that is enough, I am content knowing I am a child of God”.
Is that “enough” for you? Or do you want to say as David said, "As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirst for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? Psalm 42:1-2
David wrote Psalm 63 when he was in the wilderness of Judah. Verse One says: 'O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.'
It says in Matthew 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.”
Thirst for God my friend, get to know Him and fully give your lives to Him. Quench your thirst by being in God's word daily, pursuing a deeper relationship with God!
