Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

God’s Perfect Timing

We end chapter three with Naomi advising Ruth to sit still and wait to see how everything plays out.

Ruth 3:18 “Then she said, "Sit still, my daughter, until you know how the matter will turn out; for the man will not rest until he has concluded the matter this day." (NKJV) Sometimes this is the hardest part. We live in a fast-paced society where we want everything done right now, we don’t want to wait. We want answered prayers immediately. We want to see results. But God has His timing and we need to remember to be patient and wait. Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God” is one of my favorite verses. It has gotten me through a lot of tough situations. When I feel as though things are out of control I tell myself Be still and know that God is in Control.

My friend, Ruth and Naomi put their trust in the Lord and God was working behind the scene to bless them. We need to remember that God is working behind the scene to bless us also. Is there something going on in your life that you are waiting on an answer? Are you trusting the Lord to work things out according to His will in your life? One evidence of your trust is your willingness to sit still and wait on the Lord.
