Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Finding Comfort and Peace

My dear friends, We are living in unprecedented times as this pandemic has turned our lives upside down.  I pray this post will bring you comfort in these trying times.

John 14:1 is quoted many times when someone is faced with difficulties that appear too big to overcome.  It says "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me."   In this verse, Jesus was encouraging his disciples to be at peace despite the events they were about to go through as their world was about to be turned upside down.

Peace is not the absence of conflict, but the presence of Jesus! In Matthew 11:28-30 it says, ‘Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.’

My friend, We are all being touched by this pandemic, you are not alone! As we face the adversities in this life, may your faith bring you comfort, knowing God is with you, carrying you through those tough times.  We will get through this together as we place our trust in Jesus Christ.  Peace is the presence of the Lord in our lives.

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

God bless you my friends, stay safe and find comfort in the Lord Jesus Christ
