Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

New Beginnings New Blessings

In our last post we ended with Ruth and Naomi returning from Moab to Bethlehem. Notice in Ruth 1:22 it says “Now they came to Bethlehem at the beginning of barley harvest.”

The barley harvest was in the month of Nisan (March-April). It was a time when the community expressed joy and praise to God for His goodness. It was spring, a time of new life and new beginning. It was so apropos that Naomi and Ruth would arrive at this time as they too were experiencing new beginnings.

My friend, we all have new beginnings in our lives, the question is are we trusting God for these new beginnings?

Naomi soon learned that God's hand of blessing was on this young woman, Ruth and that He would accomplish great things through her obedience.

As we continue our study in Chapter two we will see:
We must live by faith in the Lord 2:1-3
We must live by the Grace of God 2:4-16
We must live in Hope 2:17-23

I look forward to studying this book with you as we glean from her example of being committed no matter what the cost.
